In the spring of 2008 Brethren won the Sonny Boy Blues Society’s battle of the bands in Helena, Arkansas giving them the honor of being the official band for the 2008 Arkansas Blues & Heritage Festival (King Biscuit) and also represented the SBBS at the 2009 International Blues Challenge in Memphis, TN.
